I love glass it is very peaceful creating a window or sun catcher. You can get lost in the work and the hours just fly by.
My amazing mom and I decided we wanted to take an adult education class at the Skyline Center in Great Falls, Montana. Michael Winters was our instructor and we learned so much from him! The next year I moved to Minot, North Dakota and decided to go back to school for art. Learning all the mediums in art school, I still loved glass the most. While living in Minot I worked at Margie's Art Glass, where I was able to teach classes and learn more about the craft from Margie. It was a great job and it was fun to see what others would create. As part of our art degree we were required to create an art show. I of course choose to create stained glass. Of course, I could not do your everyday patterns, I had to come up with something unique! So one night I was watching TV and there was a show on crop circles. I thought that they were very interesting shapes and designs that could be represented in glass. |
